Synopsis

Eighteen-year-old Sloane Reed is a scholarship student caring for her mother, Elaine, who is battling cancer. The money for treatment is out of reach until Marcus Voss, the crime boss of Silverhaven, acknowledges Sloane as his illegitimate daughter and sets a condition: she must retrieve The Prize for him.

Sloane knows she is a pawn, but she enters the underworld anyway. At the private casino The Dominion, she survives an ambush, takes Roman Drake's hand as The Prize, and uses it to claim control of the casino's management.
