Synopsis

Sindra, a human thief, is jailed on a false charge by a jealous employer. The Dragon King's father offers her a choice: share the bed of his son Draven, said to be a beast who kills his lovers, and bear him an heir, or die. What his father does not know is that Sindra and Draven already have a past. Years before, Draven rescued her from the cold and courted her in secret, until her employer had her arrested. Now Draven is being pushed into an arranged engagement. Rather than risk being cast aside or losing her children, Sindra flees while pregnant with his twins.

The story follows her attempt to stay free and the unresolved bond between her and Draven, built on secrecy and a misunderstanding that has never been cleared up.
