Synopsis
Six years after stepping away from her role as the empire's first heir and passing the crown to her younger brother Cassian, Lyra Aurelian has lived quietly away from court. Now widowed and pregnant, she comes back to the imperial capital with a single aim: to be present at Cassian's engagement ceremony.
At the celebration, a secretly recorded video is circulated and read out of context. Cassian's fiancée, Seraphine, becomes convinced that Lyra is the emperor's hidden mistress. Lyra insists she is Cassian's biological elder sister and offers to have her royal identity verified, but Seraphine dismisses every explanation. Backed by her family, she turns the banquet into a public humiliation, and the cruelty costs Lyra her unborn child. When Cassian finally arrives, the truth about who Lyra really is can no longer be buried.
