Synopsis

After being cast into a beast pit, exiled half-beast prince Cassian returns, kills his father, and claims the crown amid violence. His anger is aimed first at Vera, the former queen who once loved him, chose the crown, married his father, and left him to die.

Now ruling as a ruthless king, Cassian keeps Vera captive and turns their broken bond into a weapon. He vows to kill Lucian, Vera's son by the dead king, while she protects the secret surrounding her son's identity. As old desire collides with revenge, questions of loyalty, morality, and bloodline threaten to reshape Cassian's campaign against those he blames. Neither can escape the consequences of their shared history.
