Synopsis

After five years with Orion, Blythe has paid a physical price for the relationship: she damaged her optic nerve while saving him in a mountain accident. On the eve of their wedding, she learns he has been indulging Celeste and has quietly switched the venue without telling her.

When Orion fails to appear at the seaside ceremony and goes to Celeste instead, Blythe turns to Desmond, the ophthalmologist who has been caring for her, and marries him at the original mountain chapel. Orion then takes reckless snow risks that leave him with a broken leg, and Celeste abandons him. Blythe, meanwhile, starts a new life with Desmond and is expecting a child.
