Synopsis

Typhon's ancient attack on Olympus left him imprisoned under Mount Etna, but the seal frays every six hundred years. As the era of gods closes, Hades cannot restore it alone. The Prophecy Stone names a savior: a child born to Hades and a mortal woman carrying witch blood and mismatched eyes, destined to make the seal last forever.

In the mortal realm, Layra, a saintess, is accused of causing volcanic eruptions and nearly burned alive. Hades rescues her, bringing her to the Underworld, where the stone declares her his bride. She must bear his child or perish. Although bound by the Serpent Soul Pact, Layra initially resists, but his protection and tenderness gradually win her. Their marriage is consummated, yet jealous Minthe and Nyx's curse threaten their fragile bond. Alector's return pulls Layra back to danger.
