Synopsis
Four years after Elena leapt into the abyss to safeguard Dragon Emperor Balthazar's Heartscale, her young daughter Aria makes the journey alone through snow and wind to the dragon castle, carrying the scale back to its owner. Balthazar greets the child with anger born of misunderstanding rather than welcome.
What follows is a slow thaw: Aria's open-hearted nature chips away at the emperor's fury while noble Seraphina schemes against her and stirs rebellion with the Elder. At the baptism ceremony, the girl once written off as a worthless half-blood awakens a legendary Pure-Blood Dragon-God power, and the tyrant begins to soften into a devoted father.
