Synopsis
Centuries-old witch Elara goes into hiding from those chasing her, settling in Windvale, a poor and lawless town where knight Aldric offers her shelter. She keeps her true nature secret while quietly using magic to make daily life better for the people around her, and closeness grows between her and Aldric.
That quiet is broken when her pursuers find her and reveal what she really is. Elara and Aldric stand together against them, and the town they save begins to prosper. They marry with the townspeople's blessing, but the Magic Council, which had been watching from the shadows, now seems interested in Windvale.
