Aslan Valencia, heir to the Obsidian Dragon Clan and a leading candidate for the next Dragon Lord, once loved a human girl named Evelyn. Five years ago she disappeared without explanation, leaving him to rise through the clan alone.
His plans are interrupted when a small dragonling with golden dragon eyes slips into the Dragon Sanctuary and clings to him, calling him Father.
