Synopsis
Charlotte grows up far from the privilege that should have been hers, enduring abuse and poverty while Lily is raised in comfort as Victoria’s daughter. Eighteen years after Brenda’s secret exchange of the babies, fate brings Charlotte into Victoria’s household as an employee, placing the two young women in the same orbit.
Instead of welcoming the newcomer, Brenda and Lily work to discredit her, turning Charlotte’s uncertain place into a battle over family, loyalty, and truth. Clues in birthmarks and DNA begin to challenge the story everyone has accepted, while Victoria is forced to question the people closest to her.
