Synopsis

In Vester, Iso, ruler of the Hidden Dragon Dominion, adopts an ordinary identity and settles at Silvermoon Castle to investigate Saintess Esara's murder. An old betrothal makes him Sera's fiancé, but the heiress is devoted to the legendary Dragon Lord and dismisses the seemingly unremarkable man beside her. Iso must stay near her without exposing the power he carries.

Cardinal Taren wants the saintess's power and secretly employs eight Dragon Slayers while drawing noble conspirators into a campaign against Sera. Iso quietly protects her from repeated attacks, including a tavern trap, a royal council coup, and a siege by dark Dragon Slayers. As the Church's scheme intensifies, his carefully guarded nature becomes increasingly difficult to conceal. Revenge, political ambition, and Sera's misplaced admiration drive the conflict.
