Synopsis
Edie carries a personal grudge against Trent: in the past, he bankrupted her dad. When circumstances force the fiery young woman to work for her father’s ruthless rival and spy on him, an office assignment becomes a battle of wills. Trent’s power and possessive nature clash with Edie’s independence, while their age difference adds another risk to an already hostile arrangement.
Before that arrangement can settle, Edie crosses paths with Trent at her bar. The men around her make her uneasy, but Trent’s attention unsettles her more. Convinced that taking his wallet will offer payback for what happened to her father, she tries to undermine him—only for the plan to fail. Their encounter ends in an accidental one-night stand, leaving hatred, suspicion and attraction tangled together.
