Synopsis

Viscountess Melris is determined to recover the fortune her grandfather left behind, but claiming it requires a child. During a masquerade, she chooses a seemingly obscure attendant with striking silver hair and red eyes, believing this encounter can advance her plan. She expects to control the consequences; instead, the man is Eric, a grand general whose deadly reputation is hidden behind his role.

Melris must keep her true intentions concealed while navigating Eric’s pursuit and the demands of a scoundrel husband. A calculating maidservant also threatens to expose the fragile arrangement, forcing Melris to rely on both resolve and intelligence. As misunderstanding surrounds their brief encounter, she faces secrets, pressure over her inheritance, and the danger of being trapped by the scheme she began. Her fight for independence becomes a risky contest of deception and survival.
