My Sister Got the Party, I Got the Scholarship
20 Episodes3.5M views
Synopsis
Ollie Campbell has spent eighteen years in the shadow of her twin sister Willow, who collects the dresses, the laptop, and the family's praise while Ollie goes unnoticed. Beck overlooks Ollie's mango allergy when buying Willow's drinks, and Hayes pours months of wages into Willow while finding fault with Ollie. On application night, the family points Willow toward Stanford and Ollie toward community college, never once asking about Ollie's 1580 SAT score. Beck gives up MIT for Willow; Ollie quietly picks UT Austin, 2,400 km from home.
When Mom takes Ollie's savings to fund Willow's graduation party, Ollie leaves. In Texas she rebuilds herself through honors, papers, and NSF work. Later she turns aside Dad's regret, Hayes's scolding, and Beck's rain-soaked plea, and years on she refuses their money pleas and harassment. At graduation she toasts, "To the future."
