Synopsis

After claiming her fifth World Culinary Championship, Sage Bennett steps away from acclaim and chooses an unusual test of character. With help from her assistant, she puts on worn clothes and presents herself as a homeless beggar, hoping to judge a potential partner without relying on her reputation. Her first test comes from Jasper Vance, who offers her a bun of bread.

Jasper is struggling to save his family's failing restaurant from a corporate takeover. Their unusual arrangement leads him to hire Sage as his wealthy fake fiancée, turning a personal test into a public performance. As rival factions drive the Vance family toward a high-stakes Culinary Death Match, Jasper faces pressure from the fight around him, while Sage must protect her disguise. Their connection grows amid questions about trust, loyalty, and what she is really hiding.
