Synopsis
Karissa Reed’s attempt to take control of her future begins with a college withdrawal letter arranged by her mother. Unwilling to return to an overcontrolling home, the 19-year-old student tries to stand on her own. Her resistance is cut short when Tommy, her fiancé and abusive ex, kidnaps her and locks her in his basement.
Her chance of escape brings her into the path of Naz Conti, an ex-convict and feared crime lord. His world is one she has been warned to fear, yet Karissa is drawn toward him and boldly tests the boundaries between them. As desire grows alongside danger, she must confront the control she is fleeing, the feelings she cannot dismiss, and the risks of becoming involved with Naz.
