Synopsis
Lenore Williams sees her future collapse when Ada Thornton takes her fiance on her wedding day, while Lenore’s father is killed. With betrayal and grief fueling her anger, Lenore chooses a risky target for revenge: Ada’s father, the wealthy, elusive mogul behind Thornton Estates. She intends to win his attention and use that connection against the woman who destroyed her life.
Yet reaching the mysterious bachelor may prove harder than Lenore expects. Her plan places her in a charged age-gap romance with a man tied directly to her enemy, forcing her to balance calculated seduction against feelings she did not expect. As Lenore pursues revenge, hidden motives and painful secrets complicate the difference between pretending and genuine desire. The central question is whether she can control the scheme before her attraction changes what she wants from him.
