Synopsis

Three months pregnant with twins, Seraphina sees her engagement to Miles collapse under pressure from his mother, who wants her to end the pregnancy. Miles chooses to run to Peggy, another female dragon, while a separate scheme targets the trust property meant for Seraphina. With Aunt Victoria’s support, Seraphina ends the engagement and leaves for Mistwood in the Westlands.

There, she gives birth to twin daughters, Audrey and Hazel, who take the surname Quinn, and begins rebuilding her life on her own terms. When Miles eventually follows to seek forgiveness, Seraphina has already moved beyond the apology he was too late to offer. Her growing friendship with neighbor Owen accompanies her path toward independence, as she claims a future shaped by her choices rather than by the people who betrayed her.
