Synopsis
After Layla's parents die while rescuing Elias Cole from a fire, the shock leaves her senses devastated. Her sight eventually returns, but she still cannot hear or speak. The Coles take her in, and Elias learns sign language to communicate with her. He vows to help her navigate life, while their school treats Layla as the girl connected to him.
When transfer student Molly turns school life into a cruel contest, Layla unexpectedly regains her hearing and discovers Elias has been involved far longer than she knew. Rather than confront them immediately, she stays silent and gathers recordings of the taunts and escalating abuse directed at her. The file becomes her means of holding Molly accountable, while Elias begins to grasp the damage he helped cause. Layla must decide what to do with the truth, the betrayal, and the future waiting beyond this school.
