Seven years after drinking a blinding poison to save Elf King Silas, human-born Aria lives hidden in her own town, her face scarred and her sight gone, raising twin daughters alone. She has told no one who their father is.
When Silas arrives in the town, he does not recognize the woman before him. He mocks and humiliates her, and his judgment nearly brings a lethal thunder punishment down on her.
