Synopsis
Hailey Kaplan transfers to Western High determined to keep her family wealth private. She trades luxury clothing for a plain T-shirt and trousers and rides a bike to school, hoping to be treated like any other student. Instead, two girls who want access to the Kaplan heiress’s inner circle judge her appearance and mock her, turning her first day into a confrontation that escalates when one of them displays a knife.
At the same time, Candice Mathis, the Kaplan family’s maid’s daughter, presents herself as the heiress Hailey is hiding. Candice quickly gains status among the students, while the real heiress is pushed to the margins and targeted with ridicule. With false appearances shaping school life, Hailey must face the consequences of staying silent as her identity remains concealed and others build influence around a lie.
