Synopsis

For three hundred years, the orange cat beastfolk has been mocked as a weak, useless creature. Vanessa and her guild steal her magic fruit, burn her home, and chain her above a potion fire, demanding her heart be cut out. They see only a fat orange cat, not the daughter of the White Tiger King or the First Tiger Heart hidden in her body.

When her father and warlord brother arrive, the guild kneels in fear. But Vanessa's trap drains their power and feeds it into the orange cat. After centuries of failed shifting, her first human form might hold the strength to destroy them all. The central clash is between her long-hidden identity and the enemies who underestimated her, now facing the moment when their cruelty turns into her power.
