Synopsis

For centuries, Elijah Baran has remained bound to a magic lamp, answering wishes for those who summon him. Steven Parrish, once the beneficiary of Elijah’s powers, has since become one of the city’s richest men. When Steven calls Elijah for the final time, he offers freedom—but attaches a demanding condition: Elijah must become human, marry Steven’s granddaughter Christine, and care for her for five years.

The marriage places Elijah beside a wealthy young woman who pays little attention to him and repeatedly treats him with contempt. Despite this, he works quietly to support Christine’s rise as a successful CEO, keeping his true nature and his efforts concealed. As their agreement nears its end, Elijah begins to question whether Christine could ever return his feelings. With years of neglect weighing on him, he prepares to leave the marriage behind.
