Synopsis
At Anneliese Wolfhart’s engagement party, Wren Wolfhart has quietly devoted herself to baking the cake. Instead of gratitude, her sister destroys it and calls it ugly. Gertrude Wolfhart then publicly shames Wren for being unable to speak and for lacking a wolf, leaving her isolated within her own family. The treatment raises a painful question: is Wren carrying a curse?
Wren’s situation changes when she encounters Alpha Hunter Silver, who tells her they are mates. Yet this possible connection is complicated by the fact that Hunter is cursed as well. As two people marked by affliction face the possibility of love, they must confront the curses standing between them and discover whether their bond can help break them. Their path also carries the danger of a supernatural attack.
