Synopsis

Claire Bennett loses the wealthy arranged marriage she was promised and is instead married off to Ethan Vale, a small-town mechanic who seems to have nothing to his name. He is raising a daughter who cannot speak, and the household is a far cry from the life Claire expected.

As Claire settles into the marriage, she slowly earns the little girl's trust and begins to see Ethan differently from the man everyone dismisses. Her feelings grow even as an unexpected discovery shakes her assumptions: the penniless mechanic may be the elusive owner of a powerful automotive empire, the very figure her sister's fiancé is trying to impress.
