Synopsis
At Daniel's housewarming, collector Robert offers $3 million for The Silent Legacy, a piece Daniel just acquired at Christie's. Daniel declines: the artwork is a gift for his pregnant wife Emily. Soon after, a baseball from Tyler, the 8-year-old next door, nearly hits Emily. Daniel warns the children that the second floor is private, but Tyler ignores him, sneaks upstairs to retrieve his ball, and accidentally shatters the display case containing the heirloom.
Daniel confronts Tyler and his father Mark, who dismisses the incident and refuses to apologize. Mark twists the facts, accuses Daniel of terrorizing a child, throws cash at him, and claims the whole thing was staged to extort him, turning neighbors against the couple. Daniel comforts Emily and then reveals the Christie's auction record: the piece sold for $1 million. Mark freezes, his arrogance shattered by the truth.
