Synopsis
Violet once ended things with Luke to keep her family's bankruptcy from weighing on him. Years later, Luke runs Skyline Group, and Violet takes a sales manager job there, putting the two of them in the same office again. He learns she has a son, Jacob, and assumes the boy belongs to one of her business clients. That assumption hardens his contempt, and he makes her working life difficult while suppressing what he still feels.
Violet says nothing about who Jacob's father is. She is also targeted by Samara, Luke's jealous fiancée, and is trying to keep a stable home for her son. The central tension is whether Luke will see past his misreading of her past and present before the distance between them becomes permanent.
