Synopsis

Eleanor enters marriage with Tristan to rescue her bankrupt family, but the arrangement leaves her vulnerable to his contempt. Tristan sees her decision as proof that she is driven by money, then turns the household into a place of control: he cuts off her income and allows another woman to shame her. As Eleanor faces pregnancy and a marriage shaped by power rather than trust, she must decide how much of herself she is willing to surrender.

When Tristan orders her into a deadly snowstorm to recover a necklace, Eleanor's struggle becomes a fight for survival and dignity. The divorce conflict pushes hidden truths into the open, leading her to challenge him in court. Her path is not only away from Tristan, but toward self-growth, independence, and a future where financial hardship cannot decide a woman's fate.
