Synopsis

Betrayed by her boyfriend and sold out by her family, Zora agrees to marry Kevin Scott, the supposedly crippled heir of a powerful clan. It is meant to be a practical arrangement, nothing more. Yet both bring hidden lives to the union: Zora is a skilled operative in the underworld, and Kevin only pretends to be disabled while he digs into the murder of his parents.

As the two navigate their shared household, a strategic alliance slowly gives way to real feeling. But Zora's past is not finished with her. Her former lover, who is also Kevin's enemy, learns she is still alive, and his interest turns possessive. With family betrayal and a power struggle closing in, Zora and Kevin must decide how much of their masks to drop and whether their marriage can survive the truth.
