Synopsis

Vivian, once a socialite and now a fallen heiress, is the rightful successor to her grandfather's maritime conglomerate. Five years after a drugging scheme at the Crown Gala forced her into the sea and a single night with a stranger, she has rebuilt her strength and intends to reclaim the empire. When the trust rules are suddenly revised, she learns she needs a legal spouse to claim what is hers, so she sets out to hire a fake husband.

At the harbour she crosses paths with Hank, a salvage worker concealing who he really is. Vivian's five-year-old daughter Lila takes to him at once, and Vivian agrees to a short-term contract marriage. Yet the arrangement pulls her closer to a man whose hidden identity may collide with her own plans for revenge, while Diana and Colin remain part of the world she means to confront.
