Synopsis
In her first life, Elowen stood beside the Grand Sorcerer as his wife until her own sister ended her. Reborn into a second chance, she finds herself bound in marriage to a poor ranger rather than returned to court, and she chooses to keep her abilities and her past quietly to herself while she takes stock of her new circumstances. Her sister, still secure in her old triumph, has no idea how much has changed.
What Elowen does not yet know is that her humble husband carries a far greater station than a ranger's cloak suggests. As he moves to shame her sister and settle old scores, Elowen must decide how much of her hidden self to reveal, and how far she can trust the man beside her. Danger gathers around their union, and survival will demand more than a borrowed identity.
