Synopsis

Seraphina, an ocean princess, once loved the shark lord Kael, but he held her as his lover Lira drove a venom crystal into her heart. Reborn on her mate-picking day, she stuns the court by choosing Rhys, the playful dragon eel playboy, instead of Kael. Kael seethes, ignoring her when assassins poison her, then later kneels, begging her to leave Rhys.

But Lira's delicate act hides deadly malice. She shoves Seraphina into a lethal undertow, and as the waters pull her down, the question becomes whether Rhys can reach her before she drowns. The central conflict pits Seraphina's second chance against Kael's wounded pride and Lira's hidden cruelty, with Rhys's true nature still uncertain.
