Synopsis

Days before her wedding, Layla discovers her fated mate Asher in an embrace with her half-sister Vivian. He vows to protect Vivian from Lucian, the Alpha said to have killed ten brides, and turns his claws on Layla, who survives a three-story fall. Refusing to be cast aside, she cuts their bond with a blood oath and takes Vivian's place at the altar, becoming Lucian's bride.

Beneath the white veil, Asher finds the woman he discarded standing beside the feared Alpha, who treats Layla as his only Luna. The woman he tried to break must now decide what she owes a mate who betrayed her, while the marriage she entered as a substitute becomes the ground on which she rebuilds herself.
